JobRivet

Terms of Service

Last updated October 8, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using JobRivet you agree to them.

1. What JobRivet is

JobRivet is an online venue that connects people who need work done ("Clients") with independent trade professionals ("Pros"). JobRivet is not a contractor, employer, staffing agency or party to any agreement between Clients and Pros.

Pros are independent businesses, not employees or agents of JobRivet. JobRivet does not perform, supervise, direct or control any work.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account may be used in both Hiring and Working modes.

3. No verification guarantee

Pros may list licenses, insurance and certifications. JobRivet does not guarantee that these are accurate, current or sufficient for any job. Clients are responsible for checking licenses, insurance, permits and references before hiring.

4. Agreements between Clients and Pros

Quotes, bids, scope, schedule, price and payment for the work are agreed directly between the Client and the Pro. JobRivet does not process payment for the work itself and does not hold funds in escrow.

Both parties are responsible for complying with applicable laws, permits, building codes, tax obligations and safety requirements.

5. Fees and subscriptions

Listing fees and Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Listing fees are charged when a listing is published and are non-refundable once the listing is live, except where required by law.

Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current period. Free allowances (such as free listings or bids) reset monthly and do not roll over.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

JobRivet is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranty about the quality, safety, legality or timeliness of any job, listing, bid or work performed, or about the conduct of any user.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobRivet is not liable for property damage, personal injury, lost profits, poor workmanship, missed deadlines, non-payment or any dispute arising from work arranged through the platform. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid JobRivet in the 12 months before the claim.

8. Release and indemnity

Disputes about work are between the Client and the Pro. You release JobRivet from claims arising from those disputes, and agree to indemnify JobRivet against claims caused by your use of the platform, your work, or your breach of these Terms.

9. Acceptable use

Do not post false, illegal, harassing or discriminatory content; impersonate others; scrape or misuse the service; or post jobs requiring unlicensed work where a license is legally required. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

10. Reviews

Reviews may only be left after a completed job and must reflect genuine experience. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive or violate these Terms.

11. Where these Terms apply

JobRivet is available wherever people use it. These Terms apply to all users, in every country, state and region where the service is accessed.

Because laws differ by location, you are responsible for following the laws that apply to you — including licensing, permits, consumer protection, tax and employment rules in your area. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under local law that cannot be waived.

12. Disputes and governing law

Any dispute with JobRivet will be resolved through binding individual arbitration, not a class action, except where small claims court is available or the law of your location requires otherwise. Where local law gives you non-waivable rights (such as the right to sue in your home courts), those rights are preserved.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where JobRivet is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. When we make material changes we will ask you to accept the new version before continuing to use JobRivet.
